Abraham was born at Yeovil, Somerset, England.

He married Ellen Field (born at Greytown in 1861) in 1880.

Abraham's brother Richard (also profiled) married Ellen's sister.

Abraham & Ellen had five daughters & two sons.One daughter at age 7 & one son at age 22.

One son, Dickie, & two sons-in-law, Walsh Cressy (for the AIF) & Harold Galloway, served in WW1.

From 1880 through to 1905, Abraham was a farm labourer at Tinui & Awarua. From 1911 he was a farmer at Mangaweka. From 1928 he is shown as retired and living in Stanley St, Levin.
