Arthur was born at St Malyn in Cornwall.
He married Emily Stocks (born at Christchurch in 1866) at Pahiatua in 1893. [Somtime knowns as Stokes.]
They had no children.
Arthur came to NZ in 1880 and was released from Somes Island quarantine in Jan 1881. He was 21.
He is recorded on the 1905 unofficial census for the Levin borough petition.
He was a settler in Palmerston Nth & then a farmer in Scarborough & Kaitawa before moving to Levin around 1905.
Both he & Emily (who was a twin) are buried in Levin.
