Charles Cecil NATION
Charles was born at Christchurch.
His first marriage was to Isabella Prouse (born at Wainuiomata in 1880) at Levin in 1902.
They had one daughter born after they were divorced.
His second marriage was to Sarah Sigglekow (nee Virgo) (born at Woodville in 1881) at Levin in 1913.
She had a son from a previous relationship. Charles adopted him.
A son-in-law (John Tunnington) & Sarah's third husband (William Waring) both served in WW1.
Charles started as a printer at Shannon working for his father. He later became a journalist at his father's paper in Levin. He then became a newspaper proprietor at Ohakune & Raetihi.
