Christopher was born at Tynemouth, Northumberland, England.
He emigated to NZ in 1902
His first wife died in 1909 back in England. They had 3 daughters all born in Australia, however they all returned to England.
He married a 2nd time to Ethel Etheridge (born at Norsewood in 1885) in 1911.
They had one son & one daughter.
Christopher was a boatbuilder. During his time in Levin from 1908 to 1912 he built & operated boats on Lake Horowhenua. He moved to Tauranga & then Gisborne.
His son-in-law, Albert Siriett served in the RAF during WW1.
