Frederic was born in Dunedin.
He married Edith Erwood (born at Temuka in 1867) at Temuka in 1898.
They had one son & one daughter.
Edith died in 1919 so Frederic married for a 2nd time in 1920 to a widow Clara Fielder (nee Whitaker).
He married for a 3rd time to Phoebe Hutton in 1939.
Frederic served with the Auckland Infantry Regiment during WW1.
In 1896 Frederic was a photographer in Dunedin, then Temuka and by 1905 Waitotora. He then became a hotelkeeper at the Wimbledon before moving back to Wellington & Lower Hutt as a photographer.
He owned various properties in Levin during his time here.
