Gertrude was born at Wellington.
She never married.
She was a photographer and ran a business, upstairs in the "Haswell Building" from 1914 until 1921.
She started in Masterton, then Wellington before Levin. Then to Lower Hutt until returning to live in Bath St around 1954.
In some articles the photographer ws referred to as Grace. However this was an older sister.
