Gordon Gough HILL
Gordon was born at Auckland.
He married Florence Sampson (born at Auckland in 1882) in 1905.
They had one son.
Gordon enlisted for WW1 in May 1916.
He started working life as a fruiterer in Auckland. He then became a clerk & then a millhand at Mangapehi. By 1914 he was a timber salesman at Gonville then Auckland. In 1937 he became the proprietor of the Grand Hotel in Levin. From there he moved to Stratford where he was the hotelkeeper at the Club Hotel.
