Helen & Jessie were both born at Henley in Otago.

Helen never married.

Jessie married Sydney Easton (born at Foxton in 1879) at Levin in 1917. They had three sons.

Two sons, John & Tom, served in WW2.

The two sisters set up & ran the Taieri Tea Rooms, upstairs in the "Haswell Building" in Oxford St in 1914.

When Jessie got married, Helen continued to run the tea rooms until 1921.

Jessie was the representative for the Horowhenua/Manawatu region in the Wellington Queen Carnival in 1915, finishing 4th. 

All but Helen of the family are buried at either Foxton or Manakau.
