Harry was born at Papawai.
He married Margaret Marten (born at Lyttelton in 1883) in 1913.
They had two children one of each.
His son Lloyd served in the RNZAF in WW2.
Harry started working life as a labourer at Papawai before moving to Glendower. By 1928 he is a wheelwright in Ohau.
In 1935 he was a gardener in Greytown where he retired.
Margaret was the Mistress of Muhunoa East School & subsequently at Ponatahi in Martinborough. She was also on the staff at Levin District High School.
