Harry was born in Normanby, son of Thomas John who is also profiled.
He married Lily Jukes (born at Ohau in 1891) in 1908.
They had five daughters & two sons plus twins who died in infancy.
Harry started as a labourer in Masterton in 1905, moved to Tolaga Bay, then Reikorangi, Takapu, Ohakune, Raetihi then Wellington, completing the cycle back to Ohakune. At some point he must have been in Levin, where his parents lived and their 2nd child was born at Ohau & the 3rd at Otaki.
