Henry was born at Brixton, Surrey, England.
He first came to NZ in 1902, went back & then retuned in 1905, trying Marton, before settling in Levin.
He married Elizabeth Ballingall (born at Edinburgh, Scotland c 1878) at Wellington in 1910.
They had one son & one daughter.
The son Henry served in WW2.
Henry (snr) was a draper by trade, in Oxford St from 1908, living in Werraroa from 1922.
Henry & Elizabeth & his son & daughter-in-law are all buried in Levin.
