James ENTWISLE

James was born at Worcestshire, England. At gae two he was brought to NZ by his parents, settling in Picton in 1858.
He married Phoebe Farnell (born at Havelock in 1861) at Havelock in 1878.
They had five daughters & five sons.
Three of the sons married three Allerby sisters.
One son, Charles, & one son-in-law, Thomas Farrant, served in WW1.
James started out as a settler in Havelock. By 1905 he is at Linton. By 1911 he is a settler/farmer at Wearaoa. He retired to live in Queenwood Rd, Levin by 1935.
