James Oliver Campbell NEILL
James was born on the Isle of Wight.
He married Dr Kate Hogg (born at Surrey in c 1870) at Wellington in 1913.
They had no children.
After she died in 1951 he married Oonah Neill.
James was a fruit farmer in Weraroa, Levin from around 1911 to 1919. He then went to Wellington as a student then became a public servant in Wellington, Palmerston Nth & Auckland. After Kate Died he returned to live in Palmerston Nth.
James served in WW1 as a 2nd Lieutenant in the tunneling company. After the war he was the first President of the Levin RSA. He also authored a book on the tunnelers & one on his mother.
