James (Robert) ANDREWS
James was born in Nelson.
He married Mary Glover (born in Martock, Somerset, England) in Marlborough in 1884.
They had six children born in Havelock, Nelson, Foxton & Shannon, which indicated they moved around a lot for work.
James spent most of his working life as a labourer, mainly in the Levin area.
He was accidentally killed when he stepped on a flywheel of a traction engine, in an endeavour to start it.
James brother, Oscar also has a profile.
