He expanded the business by having agents in Christchurch, Palmerston Nth, Dannevirke, Feilding & Levin.
His manager in Levin was John Phillips. He then sold the Levin business to John, who became known as "Phillips the Byko".
John moved to Sydney Australia where he became an Importer.
