John William PERKINS

John was possibly born at Bristol in England.

He married Ida Muff (born at Yorkshire in 1887) in 1912. She arrived in NZ with her parents & siblings in 1907.

They had one daughter.

Her brother, Norman, was killed in France in Jan 1918.

John was a farmer who supplied milk until he sold his farm in Sep 1915.

He then went into a partnership with Grey Phillips as land & estate agents. This partnership was dissolved in Oct 1916 when he went into business on his own.

The family went on a 15 month trip to England (in Sep 1919, to see his elderly parents, returning in Dec 1920.

In 1925 the family moved to Wellington where he continued his agent work.

He remarried in 1931 (presumably he & Ida were divorced) to Hazel Shaw.

He then moved to Lower Hutt around 1946, still as an agent.
