Kenneth Boyd SHAW
Kenneth was born at Inverness, Scotland.
He married Elizabeth Sonter (Born at Avoch, Scotland in 1885) at Inverness in 1910.
The couple moved to Wellinton, NZ after their marriage as their first son was born in Wellingotn in 1911.
They had two sons & two daughters.
Kenneth was a salesman in Wellington before moving to Levin around 1922 to run an Ironmonger business on he eastern side of Oxford St. He moved into the Haswell Building owned by Sydney Gooding in 1958. He eventually owned his own building on the same site. His two sons took over the business.
The family owned a large property in Queenwood Rd (now a retirement village) where they entertained many events.
One son married the sister of one of his sister's husband. He Lachlan Mackintosh served in WW2.
Most of the family are buried in Levin.
