Marco was born at Florence in Italy.
He married Ottavia Ciarulli (also born at Florence in 1856) in c 1875 & again at Wellingotn in 1892.
They had 3 daughters & 2 sons both of died in Infancy.
Marco started a clothing manufacturing business in Wellington but decided to come to Levin and started one of the first stores in 1895. He went on to run a theatre as well as be a Borough councillor. He collected curios from all over the Pacific & NZ and left them to the Levin BC in 1920. Amongst many other things he was part of in Levin he was the one who instigated the 1st war memorial after WW1.
