Nelson Harold HEATH

Nelson was born at Nelson. His birth name was Nelson Theodore Middlemiss. He changed it around 1896 (according to the electoral rolls, although he was married as a Heath

He married Mary Ann Hall/Hull (born at Melbourne in 1864) in Auckland in 1893.

They had four sons & four daughters. One son died at 22, another at 13 & a daughter in infancy.

Nelson started a s a Moulder in Wellington, then moved to Rangitikei as a gardener & the Palmerston Nth by 1900 as a driver. He was in Levin by 1911 as a carrier. By 1914 he was back to Wellington as a labourer & then became a watersider for the rest of his working life. He owned property in Kent St from 1914 to 1919.

One daughter married & moved to Levin. Her & her husband & the 13 year old son are all buried at Tro Tiro rd cemetery.
