Oscar (Horace) ANDREWS

Oscar was born at Wakefield, near Nelson.

He married Amy Tuck (born in Christchurch) in 1889.

They had five children, one of whom died in infancy.

One son, Eskell, became a NZ Davis Cup player in England in 1928. He lived the rest of his life there.

Oscar signed the "Yes" petition in the 1905 Levin township petition.

By 1896 Oscar is shown as a blacksmith in Levin. By 1911 he is a motor engineer in Palmerston Nth & from 1928 he was a garage proprietor.
