Robert Charles (Bob) BISHOP

Bob was born in Hampden, North Otago.

He married Selina Cole (born in Dunedin) in 1911.

They had one son & one daughter.

Bob served in WW1.

The son HaroldĀ  was a pilot in RNZAF 3 squadron in WW2. His plane with all crew went missing, presumed dead, in 1942 near New Caledonia.

Bob signed the "Yes" petition in the 1905 Levin township petition.

Bob started out as a storeman in Wellington in the early 1900's. He then was in Ohau around 1919, firstly as a labourer, then as a farmer. He retuned to Wellington around 1946 as a storeman. He retired to Levin. Selina continued to live in Levin at 26 Read St after she became a widow.
