Sidney was born in Australia.
He married Elsie Cleland (born At Wellington in 1874) at Wellington in 1897.
They had two sons & one daughter.
A son-in-law, Godfrey Amyes served in both WW1 & WW2.
Sidney was a dentist in Wellington from at least 1896 to 1905. He then moved to Levin and had a surgery in Oxford St.
He was quite prominent in the local Chamber of Commerce. Elsie was very involved with the local Croquet club.
Around the time Elsie died he retired to live in Wellington where he married a 2nd time in 1945 to Emily Freeman (born in 1881).
