Thomas was born at New Plymouth.

He married Ann/Annie Elliot (born at New Plymouth in 1853) at New Plymouth in 1877.

They had 3 sons & 3 daughters.

Ann/Annie died in 1891, one month after the birth of her 6th child who died in infancy

He then married Ema Dooley (born c 1864) in 1893. She died in 1894.

He then married Frances Autridge (born at New Plymouth in 1863) in 1897.

They had one son & one daughter.

Frances died 1 month after giving birth to her 2nd child who also died in infancy.

He then married (4th time) to Frances Wallis (born at Auckland n 1875) in 1908.

They had two sons.

One son, Reginald, served in WW1.

Thomas was a farmer in the Taranaki region before moving to Levin to be the Manager of the State Farm, around 1899.

Thomas & both Frances along with four other family members are buried in Levin.
