William ADSETT (Jnr)
William was born in Rotherhithe, Surrey, England.
He emigrated to NZ, with his wife, three children (plus one born on voyage) & parents, (on the "Westland") arriving in Wellington in Nov 1883.
He married Emily Margaret Furness (born in London) in 1877 in London, England.
They had another four children in NZ.
Three of his sons, George, Alexander & Walter, along with son-in law David Morgan, served in WW1. George was awarded the Military Medal (MM).
William was a sawmiller in Levin from the early 1900's, then became a cabinetmaker, before retiring.
