William POWER

William was born at Limerick in Ireland.

He married Margaret Besnihan (born at Limerick in c 1860) at Wellingotn in 1896.

They had one son who died in infancy.

William started out as a labourer in Wellington, then at Paemako in the Waikato.

By 1919 he was back in Wellington as a grocer.

we believe he was part of the partnership of Wilton & Power that onwed a sub division in Levin & that Power St was named after him.
